About Us
Nita Nelson - FounderOriginally from Upstate New York, Nita now claims the southern charm of North Carolina as home. Cooking for her family and friends, day trips, a good book, and live music are all favorite moments well spent. Soul food Sundays and Knitting for Neighbors are added joys for future rocking chair memories. After literally dropping everything to return home to care for her mom battling breast cancer, Nita gave birth to "Dignity Care" - one of her most passionate topics. Our philosophy is grounded in those beliefs on behavior passed on from our parents and grandparents, those nosey neighbors down the street, our no-nonsense Sunday school teachers, and those (so we thought) mean school administrators who ruled with a wooden stick. From them, we were well taught. Simply put, we believe social competency is a shared responsibility. It should be taught and practiced everywhere...
